 Entry

※Entry starts from May 25, 2010.

1. Create a RIKEN SciNetS account

       ↓

2. Submit a registration form to enter the contest.

       ↓

3. Access `My Page` and start programming there.

  • After deadline, all submissions including the incomplete entries will be open to the public.

Submission

  1. JavaScript Program
Please make sure the program was created and confirmed its capabilities by JavaScript editor on RIKEN SciNetS.
  2. DNA sequences designed by the program (MAX 2,000 bases)
Please register the designed DNA sequences in the program by use of a function called `SciNetS.DB.put()` of JavaScript@SciNeS. Please leave all files required for executing the program so that selectors can confirm if the program runs properly.
  3. Report (Should contain the followings and be edited by Wiki Editor of RIKEN SciNetS.)
    • Program logic flows
    • Libraries used in the program
    • Source of the attached data files
    • What you wish to emphasize on your work

For document review, selection committee will confirm if the program runs properly on JavaScript editor of RIKEN SciNetS. Please be advised that if the submitted program does not run properly or the program does not output the same DNA sequences as the submitted ones, all of the submitted items is not qualified for the review.

How to Screen

①Form Screening:Screening the submission that do not satisfy the requirements for reviews.

②Document Review:Screening the submissions based on scientific knowledge and their originality.

③Experimental Review:Submissions that pass the document review are to be experimented for verification.

④Final Review:Selection committee selects candidate submissions for Design Award , Idea Award and Program Award. Each category will have two awards based on the results of document review and experimental review. Also, submissions which are not candidates for the experimental review but show promise in their originality are planned to be selected for Best Idea Award and Good Idea Award. For award details, refer to  `Outlines of the Contest in the Terms and Conditions`.
